Attention 6th Grade Parents:
The School Code of Illinois states that all children in grade 6 are required to submit an oral health examination to their school . Thank you to those parents/guardians who have already submitted their 6th grade child's dental examination to the school health office. If you have not yet done so, please present proof of your child's dental examination by May 14th, 2018. The examination must be performed by a licensed dentist, and may have been completed 18 months prior to the May deadline. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

GUATAMALA TOY DRIVE - SHARING SMILES ACROSS THE MILES!!!
REMINDER: Mr. Carani, one of our dedicated Wredling Faculty, goes with his family to help give medical care to families in Guatemala. We want to provide these families with a little something special since the children there don’t have many toys. That’s why we are looking for donations of small toys! Happy meal toys, small cars, bouncy balls, etc. They don’t have to be new, just gently used. Our collection boxes will be out through the 24th of April. Send in your donations and have your student place them in the collection boxes in the pods! Thanks!
Families With Incoming 6th Graders
Our transition time for families with incoming 6th graders will begin in May this year. We always look forward to these times when our school is visited be our future RedHawks and their families. It is a great time for 5th graders to see the building during their classroom visits while getting a brief tour from a current RedHawk. As principal, I especially love this time when we get to meet new families and explain how middle school is so amazingly different from elementary school. If you know a family of a soon to be middle schooler, please encourage them to attend the upcoming transition opportunities. These events are designed to help ease some of those nerves that come with a school change!
