Raider Review
April 5, 2024
Welcome Back!
We hope everyone had an enjoyable break. It was great to see everyone's smiling face back this week! After our unexpected day off on Wednesday 🙃, students jumped back into Forward testing on Thursday. We will continue with testing for the next several weeks. Thank you for ensuring your child(ren) is/are getting good sleep and showing up prepared to do his/her/their best work! Just a reminder that ALL students are required to have headphones to use during this timeframe. The headphones for testing MUST plug into the computer; they cannot connect via Bluetooth. Please check with your student(s) to be sure he/she/they will be prepared! Thank you in advance for your assistance in helping our testing go smoothly!
RMS Students Show Perseverance
At our Raider Assembly on Thursday, students were recognized for having demonstrated the RMS Core Value of Perseverance. Way to go!

Penny War Totals
Our Penny War has come to an end. In total, HHASD raised $777.59 for our five different charities: Hope for Restoration, Washington County Humane Society, Hartford Food Pantry, Elmbrook Humane Society, and Sweet Dream Wisconsin! Fifth grade won the class battle, and RMS won the school battle! Thank you to everyone for your support! See you next year for another epic round of Penny Wars!

Mr. Turing and His Amazing Machine: The Simplicity of the First Computer
Can you imagine a computer with infinite memory? Surely, such a machine should/would be infinitely powerful. Surprisingly, there are problems that even such a computer cannot solve. We will explore the life and work of Alan Turing (1912–1954), a stellar mathematician, codebreaker and visionary of computer science and theoretical biology.
This free family-friendly educational program is open to all. We encourage families with children to attend and teachers to bring their class or student club. All content is designed for ages 10 and up.

Students Staying to Watch the Game?
Students who wish to stay after school and watch home games need to provide permission prior to attending the game. Email Mrs. Viste, viste@hhasd.org or call, 262-628-1032, to allow your child to stay after school. This can be provided for a specific date or noted for the entire season.

When is a Medical Excuse Required?
If your child has suffered an injury (broken bone, sprain, concussion, etc), a medical excuse MUST BE provided to the office. This is necessary to understand any accommodations that may be needed and an expected timeframe. The information is kept in the students medical file, as well as shared with necessary staff, so we can provide the required accommodations.
