RES Angel Tree
Ridgeview Elementary will partner with the Keller Community Storehouse and sponsor an Angel Tree this year. If you are interested in adopting an angel, you can come to the office of the school and select an angel off of the tree starting on Thursday, December 1st.
Right now in our own community there is a greater need than ever to assist in providing a joyful Holiday for children and their families. The Keller Community Storehouse is anticipating meeting the needs of around 4000 children. They are hoping to collect around 8000 gifts. The greatest needs during this time are items for pre-teens and teenagers. Our Angel Tree this year is going to focus on pre-teens and teens. We are hoping to donate gift cards that can be given as gifts so these children can select the items that they need. Our Angel Tree will also have other ideas that you can choose from. Other items needed for the holiday store are wrapping paper, tape, gift bags, bows, ribbon. If you would like to donate any of those items, you can drop them off in the RES office. .
The toys, items, and gift cards need to be returned to the school office, unwrapped with the angel attached, no later than December 14th. We cannot accept any after this date. This can be such a special time for your family to help someone in need, in our own community, this holiday season.
Natatorium Field Trip Information
On the day of your child’s class field trip to the pool, children will be asked to:
-Wear their swim suit on under their regular school clothes.
- Bring 2 towels
-Bring an easy open snack in a separate snack bag (chips, pretzels, string cheese, etc.)
- Bring a bag lunch
- Bring a plastic bag to place their wet swim suit in.
- Bring additional school bag to place their school clothes (including shoes and socks) in.
- Keep their towel with them throughout the morning. (A name on your child’s clothing might be helpful but not completely necessary.)
- If desired, bring extra money to purchase snacks/beverages from our concession stand during lunch time
At the end of the day when your child is preparing to return to their school, an additional undergarment of clothing such as underwear might be needed. Also, please make sure your child has breakfast to start their day.
A Message from Mrs. Moltenbrey
We will be having our first career day this January for our 3rd and 4th graders! The date will be on January 27th in the morning. Right now I am gathering interest so by filling this form out you are not committing but just expressing interest in doing a 30 minute presentation for your child’s grade level and class. I will gather interest and be contacting you later on as we get closer. This isn’t just for parents so if grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. are interested that is perfectly okay. Please fill out the form below if you are interested. I’m looking for all types of careers! This is the time that children are exploring careers so the more variety the better!
