Chancellor's Message
At OPA-SV, we firmly believe that regular attendance is fundamental to academic achievement and overall well-being. Each day presents valuable opportunities for learning, growth, and meaningful engagement in the classroom. When students are present, they not only benefit from instruction but also contribute to a vibrant and dynamic learning environment where collaboration and peer interaction flourish.
Consistent attendance fosters a sense of responsibility and discipline, essential qualities that pave the way for future success both academically and personally. It instills important life skills such as time management, perseverance, and commitment, which are integral to thriving in all aspects of life.
Moreover, maintaining good attendance habits lays a solid foundation for future academic and career endeavors. Research consistently demonstrates a strong correlation between attendance rates and academic performance. Students who attend school regularly are more likely to achieve higher grades, graduate on time, and pursue higher education or meaningful career paths.
As partners in your child's education, I urge you to prioritize regular attendance and punctuality. Your support and encouragement play a pivotal role in reinforcing the importance of attending school every day. Additionally, please communicate with us promptly if your child is unable to attend due to illness or other valid reasons. If your champion has missed (or will miss) 3 consecutive days they are eligible for independent study. Completion of the independent study contract removes those absences and keeps students on track with their classmates.
In conclusion, let us reaffirm our commitment to fostering a culture of attendance excellence at OPA-SV. By prioritizing regular attendance, we are not only investing in the academic success of our students but also empowering them to become responsible, lifelong learners.

OPA-SV Family Request for Assistance
In our ongoing commitment to supporting the well-being of every child in our community, we want to ensure that families feel empowered to seek assistance when needed. One way to initiate this process is by completing a request for assistance form. This form serves as a vital tool for families to communicate any concerns they may have regarding your child's behavior, emotions, or general mental health. By filling out this form, families can provide valuable insights that enable us to offer targeted support tailored to each child's unique needs. We encourage families to take advantage of this resource as we work together to foster a nurturing and supportive environment for our children to thrive.
