Principal's Note
A huge THANK YOU to the families who donated child size masks to the health office! This is very helpful and SO appreciated!! We are still going through a lot of masks each day so if you could please send your child with 2 or 3 masks a day that would be helpful. We would also appreciate any donations of child's masks too.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Parent Tip of the Week - ST Math!
We are so proud of our ST Math Superstars! Mrs. Earley is in the process of making a school-wide bulletin board to celebrate grade level progress on ST Math. As your students work at school and at home (if possible), please remember to offer facilitating questions, rather than the answer. Here are some of the ST Math Questions for parents/adults:
*What have you tried?
*What happened then?
*What does Jiji need to do ?
*How did the earlier levels work?
*What will happen if you click on_____?
*What did you try that did not work:
*Show me how this will work on the next problem.
Keep trying! And, GO, JIJI, GO!

Lost & Found!
Seeking Broken Crayons, Dried-Out Markers, and Unwanted Books/Games + Library Info!
Hello families!
Are you cleaning out the closets in preparation for gift-giving season? The Slate Hill library would love to help take items off your hands so you don’t have to make an extra trip to Goodwill! We collect old broken crayons and peel them to create cool artwork for the school! We also collect old, dead/dying markers to either send to the Crayola marker recycling center or, if they’re the right type, to give to Mrs. Stewart the art teacher, who uses the leftover “dead” ink to make homemade watercolors for students to use! Also, if there are any books or board games your student has grown out of or doesn’t like anymore, and you don’t have any use for them, we’d love to add them to our collection for our 500 amazing students to check out during library class!
So, if you have any:
-Unwanted and/or broken crayons
-Unwanted and/or dried-out markers
-Unwanted children’s books
-Unwanted children’s board games
Please feel free to send them in with your student!
Any student that brings in a donation of unwanted items to the library will receive a bundle of either 2 brand new colorful gel pens, 30 nice sharp pencils, or 20 nice sharp colored pencils to keep, while supplies last, so please have your student attach their name to their donation if they want that (like leaving a note with their book pile, or writing their name on the kroger bag of “dead” art supplies)!
This is obviously all totally optional, but thank you for considering donating to the wonderful Slate Hill Stars! Happy holidays, and stay safe and warm!!
Also, the Worthington Park Library currently has a Story Stroll in the windows of the Library. The book has many Spanish words throughout. The pages start next to the pick up lockers and run the length of the library. If you are interested, feel free to check it out!
Love from, Mx. Kochensparger, Slate Hill Librarian!!! :)

Youth Sports Activities
Tennis Opportunity:
Hello Parents! My name is Bhuvandder Gattikoppula and I’m a Junior at Thomas Worthington High School. I'm sending this message on behalf of The Dublin Tennis Outreach Program (DTOP). DTOP is a high school student-led nonprofit that eliminates the cost barrier around tennis and provides free tennis lessons to kids in grades K-5. In doing so, we hope to get kids interested and have fun with the sport of tennis, developing and fostering passions that they might have.
Currently, we are hosting virtual tennis classes over zoom where we teach kids the fundamentals of tennis while incorporating fun drills and games. In the past, we've held in-person clinics at The Racket Club of Columbus and are currently working to go back in-person! This spring, we will move outdoors (TWHS, pending) and play tennis outside using the skills we learned over the winter!
To register for our email list (commitment free), simply sign-up using this google form below!
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us or check out our website. Hope to see you soon!
Best Regards,
The Dublin Tennis Outreach Program Team - Worthington Branch
