Technology Awareness
Technology is a wonderful gift for student growth. Replacement/repair of abused items takes away from learning, instruction, and others.
For Awareness:
Usual culprits & possible solutions:
*Playing around: socializing is great, however please be mindful of the area around you. Bumping, pushing, and falling are not good for students or Chromebooks.
*Stepping on devices in cafeteria, classroom, bleachers, band, locker rooms and bus: If possible, don't put them on the ground. If not, place them close to you and out of the path of others. Be mindful of items on the floor, desks, and seats.
*Holding devices by the screen will cause screen damage. Never pick up and hold the Chromebook by the screen.
*Forgetting to bring devices to school: Establish a routine and place the Chromebook, calculator, and borrowed school items in the same safe place when done with it for the day.
Wise Words
"Nothing in life is to be feared; it is only to be understood." -Marie Curie
For a Smile
A: A rainbow
Q: How did the beauty school student do on her manicure test?
A: She nailed it.
Did you know? Gross, but True...
- A chicken once lived 18 months without its head.
- Mike the Headless Chicken (April 20, 1945 – March 17, 1947) was a male Wyandotte chicken that lived for 18 months after his head had been cut off, surviving because most of his brain stem remained intact and it did not bleed to death due to a blood clot.

Egg...cellence in Learning
The week before Spring Break the elementary hallways were chirping with excitement! On Wednesday the eggs started pipping and a few hatched completely. By Thursday, the final chicks were emerging and filling the elementary classrooms with wonder.
To help remember reading and writing skills Ms. Gaswint's 3rd class named their chicks after Plot Mountain: Introduction, Rising Action, Falling Action, and Resolution. Mrs. Timmins, the 3rd grade math teacher, named theirs after number skills.
A big shout out to Mrs. Lawrence, and Brittany with AgriLife Extension, for making this possible!
WELCOME COACH GASTON MCDORMAN!
WEATHER OUTLOOK
Goodbye Winter. It was like you were never here.
Spring 2024: March 19-June 20, 2024
Forecast: to predict or estimate
These guys may look nice, but they don't play nice!
Poison vines are creeping their way around. Also, be on the look out for snakes. They are awake and may be seen slithering about in the oddest places.
