Principal's Message
NSITE Families,
Thank you all for an incredible year. Students, please make sure you have taken care of any attendance and fee obligations. Additionally, make sure you have returned your laptop to room H210. To our seniors, congratulations on your achievements, and we wish you the best on the next step in your journey. To our returning NSITE families, there are a number of reasons to be excited for the next year. We have made progress in our initiative to turn classrooms into updated professional and collaborative work spaces. We are working closely with the NISD’s Career and Tech, Technology, and Facilities Departments; and we have narrowed down vendors to get the right updates for our classrooms. Additionally, I’d like to introduce two new teachers who will be joining our team:
First, Colonel Joseph Golembiewski comes to NSITE with decades of Cyber experience in the Air Force. There, he specialized in Cyberspace Operations and Information Technology, led teams of hundreds of people and was responsible for base-wide computer networks, served as the Chief of the Joint Staff Cyber Security Branch at the Pentagon, and was Deputy Commander of the Air Force’s only Cyber Operations Center. Most importantly, he is a teacher at heart. He will be teaching Internetworking I, AP Computer Science Principles, and working alongside Mr. Diaz with our CyberPatriot organization.
Dr. Hong Zhou will be leading our Computer Science and Software Development Academy. She will also be bringing a wealth of experience, most recently teaching Computer Science at St. Mary’s Hall. She has also worked as an AP reader and brings industry experience as an IT Specialist for UTSA, a Data Specialist for University Health System, and a Database Manager for Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh. She will be teaching Computer Science I and II, and she will be leading our Senior Computer Science Practicum.

It is truly amazing to see the great connection as well as a friendship each has with their mentee. If you are interested in the mentor program, sign up sheets will go out in August so you can have a chance to experience a great opportunity with our NSITE Mentor Program!
