This Week's Lessons
I hope you all are enjoying a safe and fun Superbowl Sunday. This week we will be continuing on in our unit on American Contributions by learning about Martin Luther King Jr. and George Washington.
Writing-Students will write a letter to the president and begin drafting an opinion piece about why he or she would be a good candidate for president.Reading-Students will read books about Martin Luther King Jr, George Washington and general books about being President of the United States. Students will be able to describe character traits of a good leader.
Spelling/Phonics- Contractions (I'm, isn't, can't, don't, it's, let's)
Sight Words- another, done, each
Math-Topic 10-Students will add with tens and ones. This topic introduces two-digit addition. It is important that students know addition facts through 12 at this point in the school year. Please practice both addition and subtraction facts at home.
