Photosynthesis & Cellular Resp.
By: Katherine Turner
Photosynthesis
Plant's take in sunlight, water[H2O] and carbon dioxide [CO2] to make it's own food. This process is called Photosynthesis and it takes place in the chloroplast. When all this process is done it makes oxygen [O2] and glucose [C6H12O6].
Reactants:Water, Carbon Dioxide Product: Oxygen, Glucose
Happens only with plants.
6CO2 +6H2O → Sunlight →C6H12O6+6O2
Cellular Respiration
Respiration happens in the Mitochondria. This is the process when oxygen and glucose is taken in and it creates carbon dioxide, water and releases energy.
C6H12O6+6O2→6CO2+6H2O+energy
Release energy that was stored in sugar
