CCSD - Survey - Open Book - Parents
The Clark County School District (CCSD) is proud to be on Open Book. Open Book was created in an effort to increase the transparency and openness of CCSD’s financial data and is a public online resource containing details on school and central office budgets.
We welcome staff, parents, and community members to take a look at what it takes to keep the nation's fifth-largest school district running. Open Book provides handy links to useful reports, interactive dashboard tools with budget details, and helpful graphics to highlight how CCSD's budget is spent, making our financial information easily accessible.
In order to continue improving the transparency of Open Book, we ask that you take a brief survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HS7MYST to help us understand the usefulness and quality of the information provided.
SBAC Testing Grades 3-5
SBAC Testing: Twitchell Elementary School is designated as a High Achieving School. Part of the determination for this
distinction is how well our students perform on the Criterion Referenced Test (SBAC). Students in grades 3, 4 and 5 will participate from March 29 - April 21, 2022.
● Attendance at school is critical – students must be at school and on time.
● Homework and nightly reading – this will help make sure your child is prepared.
● Mark test days on the calendar – Children should be aware of the importance of these days.
● Sleep – It is essential that your child have adequate sleep each night.
● Healthy breakfast – your child should eat well the morning of the test.
● On time – students who arrive late these days will have to take the test at a later time.
● Talk about the test – talking about the tests will reduce the stress and anxiety your child may feel. Let your child know all that is expected is that they do their very best.
Please ensure your child is in attendance on the following days and times in order to complete this required assessment.

COVID QUESTIONS - IF YOUR CHILD TESTS POSITIVE OR POSSIBLY EXPOSED
Please utilize the new CCSD COVID-19 Parent/Guardian hotline to report if your child is exhibiting symptoms, received a positive COVID test result, or possibly exposed to a COVID positive individual. The CCSD COVID-19 Parent/Guardian Hotline is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and can be reached by calling 702-799-4322. Free COVID -19 testing options at Southern Nevada Health District and vaccination resources are available at Southern Nevada Health District Vaccines.
They have 300 employees working to answer phones, but it has been extremely busy and difficult to get through. Please be patient.
This is the only way to have your child assigned to distance learning.
