Rock Ledge Primary Center
April, 2024
A Message from Mrs. Inman
Dear Rock Ledge Primary Families,
It’s April and we are anxiously waiting to welcome spring! Just when we thought we were finished with the snow, it came back for an encore! It's possible it will be gone by our return on April 2nd but please continue to send winter clothes for students to wear during recess if the temperatures call for it. We monitor the temperatures closely and will have students wear their jackets for temperatures below 50 degrees.
During the warm stretch of weather, we noticed that student play became more rough and physical with each other. Please talk with your child about the importance of having safe hands and feet during recess. We want our students to be able to have fun but more importantly be safe while they're outside. We appreciate your help with this.
Thank you and enjoy your spring break!

School Library Day
National School Librarian Day is observed on April 4. The day is observed to recognize the professionals who keep school libraries well-stocked and the books in perfect order. School librarians spend long hours keeping the library organized. They are also likely to be the first people to help students find the resources they need to learn. They also encourage students to pursue reading outside of academic texts. School librarians are also responsible for creating an environment where students are motivated to learn. Here at the Primary Center we would like to send out a huge thank you to Mrs. Monfort and Mrs. Erickson for making our library such a great place to learn and visit.
Paraprofessionals Day
Paraprofessional Appreciation Day is a special day dedicated to those who work in a classroom under a teacher’s direction. In schools, paraprofessionals are also known as teacher’s aides. These fantastic people provide support to students who may need extra help and work to maintain the classroom, keeping it running smoothly. Paraprofessionals are the unsung heroes of the education system. Paraprofessional Appreciation Day seeks to bring these professionals to the forefront and show them a little extra love for all the incredible work they do, day in and day out. It is on this day, and every day, we want to thank all of our paraprofessionals for everything they do. We love every single one of them and everything they do for our students!
