A Note from Ms. Deal
Dear Parents,
I hope you all enjoyed a lovely Mid-Autumn Festival. It was great to see so many of you this week at the Nutrient Potluck! What a huge success! Thank you for helping make such delicious and nutritious food for us to share together. We couldn't have done it without you!
This Thursday, September 22nd, we will go on a field trip to BioFarm. Thank you for sending in the permission forms and money. If you haven't sent in the form, please do so on Monday. Remember, it costs 100RMB to go on the trip, but I truly believe the experience will be worth every cent!
Also, thank you to the many volunteers we had to chaperone. If you did not receive an email from me on Friday, unfortunately, we will not be able to take you with us. If you would still like to come, you're welcome to meet us there.
We will begin NWEA MAP testing next week. We will take the Math test on Wednesday. Reading and Language will be taken the following week. Please help your child understand that this is nothing to stress over. These tests are simply one piece of a puzzle that is used by teachers to help support them in their learning. Encourage them to do their best and relax!
We will have P.E. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday next week. Please plan accordingly with swimming gear.
Let meek now if you have any questions. Have a wonderful weekend!
Thank you,
Ms. Deal

Language Arts: NonFiction Texts and Informative Writing
Writing: Through our knowledge of nonfiction texts, we have been able to take what we read and gather facts from the texts. Students are practicing informative writing by creating a topic sentence and supporting them with facts!
