Units of Instruction (UbD)
Priority Standards, Units of Instruction, and Assessments
Wednesday, December 13, 2017
Want to know about priority standards, units of instruction (UbD), creating assessments - proficiency scales/rubrics, and how remediation/enrichment ideas can be embedded within the units of instruction? Then this session is for you!
Participants will learn what priority standards are, why they're important, and how to determine them. They'll learn more about units of instruction from the UbD - backwards design model. In addition they'll take a closer look at how to create formative, summative, and common assessments along with proficiency scales and rubrics. And they'll end the day by taking a look at remediation and enrichments for students.
Facilitator: Jennie Ritter, Republic R-III School Elementary Curriculum Specialist
