Short Story
The Baseball Game
I said,¨OK, but , make it quick.¨
As soon as he got done finished drinking we left. But right as we arrived to the it started to rain cats and dogs(Idiom). We waited and hour until the rain stopped. Finally we were on our way.
As soon as we got to the game my teammates and I started warming up. When I was starting to warm up Johnny chucked the ball at me and it stung real bad. Once the game started I hit a home-run and then all my teammates cheared for me. At the last inning the score was 10-11, my team was winning and bases were loaded. I was pitching and I threw 9 strikes in a row to win the game for my team. At the end of the game johnny told me that," he was so hungry that he could eat a horse" (Hyperbole). So we headed to the concessions stand.
On the way there Johnny told me a joke that mad me crack up. The joke was," What do you call a mushroom at a party? A Fun Guy." (Pun) After a while of walking Johnny and I got a little side tracked and watched a baseball game. Finally when we snapped out of it we headed to the concessions stand. When we got there there was a sign that said,"Always Open"(Irony). But next to it it said," Closed"(Irony). Finally instead of the concessions we went to the DQ and had a coll blast.
