One critical data point is the number of students who earn an industry recognized credential. The results are coming in and below is just one example of the incredible accomplishments of our teachers and students.
Weekly Brief
1. This week we focused on what returning to work looks like in each of our specific areas. We will roll out the additional information this upcoming week, but the documents are all available in our COVID19 folder. Our primary goal is to return to work with all social distancing requirements in place for everyone's safety.
2. Wrapping up the school year. Thank you to everyone for finishing this school year strong! This has been an incredibly challenging school year in on many fronts and I am very proud of the work we accomplished.

Going Beyond...
Last year we focused our administrative learning around building and sustaining trust and trauma informed care. We all know we haven't learned enough about trauma and the impact it has on our students and in light of our current national issues, many of our student will return to us with even greater needs. To help us prepare, this summer we will dedicate our learning to diversity and equity under the umbrella theme of, #NCCVTWorks for Equity in Action.
Our learning will fall into three buckets:
1. Greater knowledge and understanding of diversity and equity among all administrators
2. Supporting our students and staff in multiple ways
3. Ensuring our system is equitable
To begin our learning series, please take a look at the attached whitepaper on achieving equity in education. I don't know much about Kickboard, but this document organizes how a school system should approach equity and diversity in an effective manner. You will notice many of the initiatives a school can do, we have already started.
Our goal is to continue and expand our efforts to guarantee that our schools are fully inclusive and that all of our students receive the very best education in emotionally and physically safe schools.
