Reminders from the Office
Forgotten band instruments can be dropped off in the intermediate office. Students will be responsible for checking the office for their instrument before their lesson or band class.
If your child is sick or has an appointment, please remember to call our attendance line (920-730-0924, option 2) to record their absence by 7:45 am that morning. Please contact the intermediate office with any questions. Thank you!

Attention 6th Grade Parents! Important Camp Information
Woodland 6th graders will be attending the annual one day environmental awareness field trip to Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya. Permission slips and other forms are due by September 18th. Camp fees can be paid through Infinite Campus, if they have not already been paid. Please contact the office at 920-730-0924 with any questions.

5th Grade GRIT Field Trip
The Woodland 5th graders will be attending a day field trip this October. Students will work as homerooms on group challenges at the KHS indoor practice facility. These challenges will require them to use Growth Mindset, Respect, Innovation, and Teamwork. Fees can be paid through Infinite Campus, if they have not already been paid. More information and permission forms will be coming soon.

PTO News
- Friday, September 15th is a PTO sponsored popcorn day at Woodland School. All students will be served popcorn for a snack on Friday.
- Woodland PTO will be holding its first meeting of the 23/24 school year on Tuesday, September 19th at 6:30 pm in the Woodland LMC and virtually via Google Meet. All Woodland families are welcome to join the meeting. If joining virtually, please use Google Chrome as the browser.
- Build a Wolfie Night, sponsored by the Woodland PTO, will be held on Thursday, September 28th. Students can build their own stuffed Wolfie mascot and spend a night learning about wolves and other wildlife! The order form can be filled out and sent the the office or a QR code is also available. Order deadline has been extended to September 17th.
Fun Run - Friday, September 29th
The annual Woodland School Fun Run, sponsored by the Woodland School PTO, will take place on Friday, September 29th. All students are invited to participate and will receive a 2023 Fun Run T-Shirt. Paper copies Fun Run pledge form will be sent home this week. We will be looking for volunteers, so check your schedule and look for more information in upcoming weekly notes.
Attention 5th Grade Parents! World Studies Trip to Mexico
We're excited to announce that all current fifth graders have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to Mexico with the World Studies department during the summer of 2025! We'll explore famous ecological sites, discover the rich heritage and diversity of different cultures, and experience many of the places we learn about in World Studies. Please join us for an informational meeting on Monday, September 25th at 6:30 p.m. in the Mapleview Commons to learn more!
School Photos
If you were unable to make a picture day in August and your child has not had their photo taken, the Woodland picture re-take day is scheduled for Wednesday, October 4th. Please see the additional information and a link to pre-order your photos. Please contact the office at 920-730-0924 if you have any questions.
Roatan Supply Drive
A big THANK YOU! to everyone who donated to the backpack and school supply drive, organized by Carly Reinke and Taylor Dorsey, to benefit classrooms in Roatan. The drive was a huge success!
Art Donations
If anyone has items that they would like to donate to Mr. Calmes for use in his art class, please bring them into the office. If you are not sure if we will use particular items, please contact Mr. Calmes at tcalmes@kimberly.k12.wi.us. We are always looking for donated items from home or work. Thank you!

The Woodland PTO has an online store with many options for Woodland/Kimberly wear.
Herb Kohl Nominations
Nominations of Wisconsin PK through 12 teachers and principals can now be submitted online at KohlEducation.org for the 2024 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation teacher Fellowship and principal Leadership awards. The deadline for submission is Tuesday, October 3, 2023.
