CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR CTE TEAMS!
Several CHISD scholars participated in the SKILLS USA competitions this weekend. SkillsUSA competitions showcase the best in career and technical education.
The district walked away placing silver in culinary arts, bronze in video production (broadcast news), bronze in demo (heat transfer vinyl demo), silver in job demo (vinyl install demo), gold in advertising design, gold in pin design, 10 scholars qualified for state in their job exhibits in the following: digital illustration, advertising design, advertising design campaign, AV (narrative) short film.
WELL DONE CHHS VARSITY CHEERLEADERS!
The Cedar Hill High School Cheerleaders thrived at the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship over the weekend at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, finishing in the Top 20. iT was the team's best finish yet, according to Coach Kathy Boyd. INCENTIVE PAYOUT UPDATE
We have worked to ensure that our staff feels valued and appreciated! This school year, CHISD implemented several incentives for staff that celebrate attendance, loyalty and welcomes new employees to the district. During the February 7, 2022 Board Workshop, the CHISD Chief Financial Officer Gilberto Prado provided an update on incentive payouts so far this year. HOOPLA NOMINATIONS
Do you know someone who deserves a little HOOPLA? Cedar Hill ISD is now accepting HOOPLA (Honoring Our Outstanding Paraprofessionals, Lead Educators and Administrators). Any CHISD staff member or district parent can submit a nomination. Only current CHISD employees can be nominated. Nominated staff members must exhibit excellent customer service, have made a significant contribution to CHISD and gone above and beyond the scope of their assigned responsibilities. Nominations are due on Friday, March 11, and we will surprise the winners on Thursday, April 7. Here is the link to submit a nomination:
NO SCHOOL ON FEBRUARY 17, 18 AND 21
Cedar Hill ISD Scholars will have an extended break between February 17-21. On February 17, CHISD Staff will have Staff Development all day. February 18 is Parent Conferences and the district will be closed on February 21 in observation of President’s Day. We hope scholars have an enjoyable and safe time during this break.
