Motherboard
The Motherboard is the central control panel of the computer. It contains the principal components of a computer and has slots which the other parts fit into. It allocates power to the CPU, the RAM, etc. and allows them to communicate with each other.
Computer RAM
A RAM (random access memory) is a form of data storage. It is used to store information about programmes that the computer is using at that moment. It is the most common type of memory found in computers and other devices, such as printers. RAMs allow data to be accessed in roughly the same amount of time regardless of what order the data is accessed in.
CPU
The CPU (Central Processing Unit) is the brain of the computer where most calculations take place. It carries out the instructions from the motherboard.
Video Card
A video card (or video adapter, graphics card, display board) is an expansion card that generates an output of images to a computer monitor or other screen.
