SEPTEMBER 21 HUSKY HUSTLE
What is the Husky Hustle?
The Second Annual Husky Hustle will be our largest fundraiser of the year. All participants will run as many laps as possible around a track on the Summit soccer fields. Participants will get donations from family, friends, neighbors or businesses to support their efforts. Donors can make a flat donation in support of Summit Elementary PTO.
How do I get Donations? Ask friends and family!
Register your child at www.pledgestar.com/summitelementary/ and follow the
simple registration steps. It takes just minutes to set-up your child’s own fundraising page to request donations, or use the form on the front of the donation envelope provided. All donations and forms are due the day of the event, Friday, September 21, 2018. All participants who request pledges from at least 10 people online through the PledgeStar website, will be entered into a drawing to win a Summit Husky Spirit Wear Winter Hat.
All students and staff will be receiving a 2018 Camp Kindness/Husky Hustle Theme wear shirt the day of the event.
Why are we raising money?
Your support allows the PTO to continue to fund many great events for our Summit Community, and also allows us to fund teacher grants for our school. The PTO was able to provide each classroom with $300 for teachers to use as they see fit in their classrooms. Some purchased new books, additional flexible seating and much needed supplies. We also were able to provide the Maker Space with award winning coding kits called Kano Kits . The PTO was proud to help fund the artist in residence project that allowed the kids to create mosaic tiles squares that were placed into a
checkerboard in the Summit Courtyard. We also helped to fund the Summit Gardens, for an additional way for our kids to participate in hands on learning. These are just a few of the ways our Husky Hustle dollars have been put into action this last year. With your help, every child will benefit from the programming and equipment we are able to provide for our teachers and the students.
What is the Goal?
This year we would love to raise $20,000. If every participant raises $40 we can achieve our goal. Last year we were able to raise $23,000 and we are hoping we will be able to provide the same funding to our school this year.
When do we run?
All parents are invited to come and cheer on your children during this event! We will also be looking for volunteers to run stations so keep your eyes open for a signup genius coming soon.
