MCAULIFFE MESSENGER
March 11, 2024
Dear McAuliffe Families,
March has brought a breath of fresh air, and we're thrilled with the latest accomplishments in our vibrant community. We had so much fun celebrating the 100th day of school! The energy and enthusiasm during this milestone were truly remarkable. We love being 100 days smarter!
Our 2nd Quarter PBIS Assembly was a fantastic opportunity to recognize and commend our students for their outstanding behavior, kindness, and respect. It's wonderful to see the impact of our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports program on our school environment.
What an incredible St. Baldrick's Day Assembly we had! The spirit of giving and community impact was truly felt as 24 of our bravest students and 3 dedicated staff members displayed their support for pediatric cancer research. Together, we've raised over $20,000! Thank you to everyone who participated, and donated. We appreciate the generosity and commitment of everyone in making a difference in the lives of others.
As we move forward into the latter part of March, we want to remind everyone to check the school calendar for Spring Break dates. This well-deserved break is an excellent opportunity for families to relax and rejuvenate. We wish you all a restful and enjoyable time with loved ones.
Our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will be participating in the Illinois Assessment of Readiness beginning Tuesday, April 2, 2024 through Friday, April 12, 2024 . We encourage students to prepare diligently and give their best effort during these assessments, and we are confident in their abilities to showcase their knowledge and skills.
Thank you for your continued support and participation in our school community. If you have not yet taken the 5Essentials survey, we ask that you do so before it closes on March 29. Your participation will help us make improvements to our school. All feedback is welcome!
Wishing you a wonderful March filled with continued learning and positive experiences!
Sincerely,
Dr. Szczasny
