- Discovery Education - Celebrating Native American Heritage Channel
Veterans Day - November 11th
Have students research this holiday using Britannica or Gale in Context in TexQuest. These academic resources are the perfect place for students to learn more about this important day.
You will also want to check out the Veterans Day Channel in Discovery Education. There is also a virtual field trip event, Voices of U.S. - Why We Serve, held on Wednesday, November 10th at noon.

- September 9th - BACK TO SCHOOL WITH BOOK CREATOR (Recording Available)
- October 14th - BOOK CREATOR & LITERACY: TEACHER-LIBRARIAN PERSPECTIVE (Recording available)
- November 11th - DIGITAL STORYTELLING
Each one-hour session will provide opportunities to explore Book Creator and project ideas to use with students. These sessions will be presented by Catherine Cappiello, Teacher Success Manager at Book Creator.

ESC Region 11 Virtual STEAM Carnival - December 6-8
What to Expect in Our December Virtual Big Top - The STEAM Carnival is a rush of learning and fun, all packed into a 2 1/2 field trip that will leave your students wanting more. So, what does that mean for your students?
Gameshows, Virtual Escape Challenges, Student Showcases, and more!
We are currently working with several of our partners from previous events, along with even more guests from all over the world...and maybe even out of this world!
Students will have:
- Individual challenges/competitions against other students from across the state
- Team challenges designed to help your class work together to solve the puzzles
- Famous guests, celebrities, and talents
- Opportunities to win tickets to the 2022 Onsite STEAM Carnival
- A chance to be part of the intro video with your classmates!
The event will consist of a 2 1/2 hour interactive event.
