We Celebrate National Physical Therapy Month
In October, we celebrate National Physical Therapy Month. Please join us in celebrating our Physical Therapists (PTs), and Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs). We appreciate all that our Physical Therapists do for students. Physical therapy involves various exercises and movement strategies that improve positioning, strength, motor control, balance, mobility, sensory strategies, environmental modifications, as well as, the proper use of assistive devices.
To support student IEPs, physical therapists assist students in accessing the school environments in order to realize greater benefits from their educational plan. As part of the IEP team, physical therapists, work collaboratively to screen, evaluate and provide intervention documented in the student's IEP.
Thank you to our School-Based Physical Therapy Team!!!
