Student Memoir Showcase...
Sporting KC
It was Friday! My favorite day of the week. So I went upstairs and got my school stuff unpacked. Then I waited for my mom to come home so I could go outside. When my mom got home she said I couldn’t go outside. I asked why she said no, because we are going to a Sporting KC game!!!!!
“YES!” I screamed.
Then before I knew it, I was on the road headed to the Sporting KC game at the Sprint Center. As we were entering the Sprint Center there were cops everywhere we tried to see what was going on but we couldn’t see what was happening. Then after the cops cleared out we walked passed a couple of cops so they could check our bags for weapons. Then we walked past a person who was selling beer, and a place where kids could play soccer. On our way to the stadium we went into a Sporting KC store, they have lots of cool things like a mini sporting kc soccerballs, but it was pretty expensive.I could have bought a soccer ball at Dicks for $5.99 but they were $20.00!!! That’s a big difference, we ended up not buying anything because it was too much money. Then we got in the stadium after they scanned our tickets. Then a lady sang our national anthem song called the Star Spangled Banner. Then during the warm ups the Houston Dynamo player kicked a ball right in a girls face it looked like it hurt like a thousand bee stings.
The game had finally began, lots of booing was going on for some reason, I think it was because that girl had a ball kicked into her face. The game had started, lots of yellow cards were being pulled, there were too many to even count. Then the crowd got so loud that I couldn’t hear the person next to me. Then they plowed the ball in for a goal.the score was Houston Dynamo 1 Sporting Kc 0. Then we scored! The score was 1-1, suddenly a roar of thunder rumbled out of the sky, the game was on a delay for an hour because of the severe thunder storm headed our way . So we left because we had to wake up early in the morning. It ended up that Houston Dynamo won 2-1. Thats was a day that was exciting.
