Teacher Spotlight: Tori DesCombes
The CCA teacher spotlight for this month is Tori DesCombes. She grew up in Deepwater, MO and attended college at Southwest Baptist University. She is married to Todd DesCombes. At CCA she teaches art for grades K4-12. Her favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 40:8, which says, The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever. Tori is expecting her first child soon, a baby boy, who's name will be Arthur. She enjoys hiking, biking, watercolor painting, quilting, baking, and cooking in her free time. She played volleyball and basketball in high school and she loves the KC Chiefs and the Royals.
The people she looks up to are her grandparents Marge and David. They have been through a lot of Medical issues and have never slowed down or lost heart even though they are in their 80’s. They still act like kids and really enjoy life. --Carissa

PHC & 6th Grade Field Trip
On Wednesday March 13th, the sixth grade class took a field trip to Springfield Missouri to explore the Bass Pro Wonder of Wildlife aquarium and museum. They were accompanied by the Patriot Honor Society members. The students learned about a multitude of different sea animals and even got to pet real life Stingrays! They also learned about the Missouri conservation and game. They got to tour the largest buck and antler museum in the country. They learned about Lewis and Clark and their adventures all over America and how they lived off the land by hunting and gathering. The students then ended their trip with a stop at Chick-fil-A and then headed back to CCA. Thank you Mr. Neal and Mrs. Schumpert for taking the students and for keeping an eye on all the students!
