Metalloids
Metalliods like silicon have some characteristics from both metals and non-metals.
- Metalloids can be shiny or dull
- can be malleable or not malleable which means it can be flatten out
- and they are better conductors of heat than non-metals but are not as good as metals.
Non-Metals
non-metals like helium.
- are not good conductors of heat
- cannot be ductile. so they cant stretch
- are very brittle so they can break easily
- are not good conductors of electricity
- their melting point or boiling point are generally low
Metals
metals like gold are.
- ductile which means the ore can stretch when soften and that's how they make golden necklaces
- they are not brittle at all and they are very sturdy
- their melting point or boiling point are high
- good conductors of electricity and heat
