Texhoma Elementary Back to School
July 2021
NEW Texhoma Elementary School App
Message from the Superintendent
We are ready to go with full In-Person Instruction! We will continue to limit visitors and be very diligent in cleaning the facilities and handwashing but we can't wait to have everyone back! We will allow parents/guardians to eat lunch on Fridays this year. If you are interested in joining your student for lunch, you must call the school before 9:00 am to reserve a meal. If you do not call, we can not guarantee a meal will be available for you.
We are also very excited about the new website design and school App that was developed for Texhoma ISD. The App is available for Android and Apple devices. Please download the app and allow for notifications. You will be able to see the lunch/breakfast menus, supply list, school calendar, and events that are happening on campus via the app and school website.
Have a great rest of your summer and can't wait to see everyone on August 12th.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Yates
Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Funds (ESSER)
ESSER
Texhoma ISD has the opportunity to apply for Federal Grant money. This money was authorized in three pieces of legislation. ESSER I, ESSER II and ESSER III. These funds are to assist schools with the Coronavirus Pandemic and the effects it has had on our school districts and students.
ESSER I was authorized in Title VIII, Division B of the CARES (Coronavires Aid, Relief, and Economic Security) Act. This money was awarded to those schools that were classified as Title I in the 2019-2020 school year. Unfortunately, Texhoma ISD was not eligible for these funds.
We are however eligible for the ESSER II and ESSER III funds which were authorized by the CRRSA (Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations) and ARP Act (American Rescue Plan). If awarded these funds, Texhoma ISD will have up to $189,000 to assist with learning loss resources needed due to the Pandemic, technology, and structural updates.
We would like to thank all of our parents, community members, and staff who participated in the survey this summer. We were able to gather great data on the needs of our students and community.
