Louis Armstrong
Louis Armstrong was born on April 4, 1901. He was from New Orleans. His nickname is Satchmo. Later he started to play the trumpet, and he said " This is what I want to do for the rest of my life". Louis made a whole bunch of songs, that made him very famous. On July 6, 1971 he died of a heart attack.
Music Career
Yet another idea, from Top 101 Musicians is that Louis Armstrong played in the " Olivers Creole Jazz Band ". Then he switched to the trumpet.In 1922, he played the second cornet. In 1933 he went to his first European tour. Louis made more than 35 albums.

Family
Louis Armstrong had four wives. Daisey Parker, Lilian Hardin, Alpha Smith and Lucile Wilson. He had one son and two daughters. The son's name is Clarence, and the daughter's name is Sharon Preston-Folta.

The 1970s nickname was called the "Me" decade. In 1972, there was a terrorist attack in Munich, Germany. In 1979 in Wichita Falls the terrible Tuesday tornado hit, it caused a lot of damage. DJ Kool Herc made the first hip-hop song. In 1970, the Beatles brake up. The mobile phone was invented in 1973. And Elvis Presley dies in 1977.
