Next year, all students will receive new devices in Rowan-Salisbury Schools. All elementary and middle school students will receive the newest iPad available and all high school students will be issued a new Macbook Air.
Information from Nurse Marchinko
To ensure that your child has a healthy and safe start to next school year, if your child has been prescribed emergency medications such as an Epi-Pen (Allergies), Rescue Inhaler (Asthma), Diastat (Seizures) or Glucagon (Diabetes) the following will be needed.
• Emergency medication with the pharmacy label attached
• Medication authorization form signed by parent and prescribing doctor
• Applicable "Emergency Action Plan"
Any medicine brought into the schools whether it is prescription or over the counter, needs to have a signed consent form on file with the school. OTC medicines only need parental signature for middle and high school students. Medication consent forms and action plans are available at school. Medication forms may be found on the RSS Website.
If your child has another health condition that needs to be addressed here at school, please let us know by contacting me at either (704) 213-3820 or Wendy.Marchinko@rss.k12.nc.us. Have a great summer.
