New this year: GT Pride Pull Outs
6th graders: every Tuesday
7th graders: every Wednesday
8th graders: every Thursday
On your student's grade level day, they will report to Mrs. Roberts room (212) for Pride. We will use this time to provide information and conference with your children, provide enrichment, and offer time to research and collaborate with others on their pathway projects. If your child needs to stay in their regularly scheduled pride, due to grade repair or test reviews, they are allowed to do so.
We had fun with the GT kids over the summer, and we plan to continue to host social and educational events throughout the school year.

What do your kids want to do this school year??
Possible Pathway Projects....
Strack teachers have been dreaming up some big ideas for making Strack the best place to teach and learn, and we want help from the GT kids to make these ideas a reality. I will be discussing these projects with the students this week.
Calling all muralist:
Strack is looking for talented artists to create murals around the school. The students will research different artist techniques, interview/collaborate with teachers to come up with design proposals, create murals around the school, and collect data on the effects of school moral based on the addition of these murals.
Calling all journalists:
Strack is looking for talented writers, photographers, speakers, and journalist to improve communication between students and parents. These students will conduct interviews, attend events, and research happening around the school. They will create podcasts, newsletters, and videos to inform parents and students about all the amazing things happening at Strack
Calling all gardeners:
Our Strack garden is in need of some gardeners. They will need to clean out, plant, and manage the garden throughout the year. We are also interested in expanding the garden to attract pollinators or possibly create a bee colony. Students will need to research best practices for this and put them into action.
Calling all sports fans:
We are looking for students to film the athletic events. They will also interview student-athletes, produce highlight reels, and promote school spirit through some sort of media production.
We also offer Destination Imagination, Pentathlon, The Klein Innovation Challenges, and have a number of clubs and organizations that can be used as the foundation of your student's passion project.
Here are a few highlights from last year, to show what is in store for your child this year.
Our Pentathlon team made it to Nationals last year!
We formed new friendships with our combined field trip!
