Sipley Success
We have many great things happening!
Our student behavior is much improved compared to a year ago. Our focus on the whole child is showing promise as our cohorts are growing with a more developed sense of how to function in a high performing school focused on growth.
Our administrative team helped our February blues by making each day in February special and fun.
Our students have a heightened level of focus and hard work on more challenging iReady lessons. They are buying into their practice sessions as one way to grow.
Our staff is working with great purpose.
We are moving in the right direction and I am proud of our work! Thanks for all that you are doing individually and collectively.
Major Office Discipline
I applaud our efforts in entering discipline into SWIS, however, we have some needed adjustments to make as our major behaviors are not getting the attention they need. Major office discipline behaviors are for physically dangerous behavior such as punching another student, gross insubordination such as absolute refusal to work after attempts to remedy, gender, racial or other gross teasing, bullying, stealing, or failure to remedy moderate behaviors. Behaviors are being entered into SWIS and I don't get to the notification until well after the behavior, limiting my ability to act on the major behavior in a timely manner. We need to address this by sending the child to the office when major behaviors occur. The office staff can track me down to address the major behaviors.
