Definitions
Definition for food chain:
a series of organisms interrelated in their feeding habits, the smallest being fed upon by a larger one, which in turn feeds a still larger one, etc.
food web:
multiple food chains connected together into an ecosystem
primary consumer:
an animal that feeds on plants; a herbivore.
secondary consumer:
a carnivore that feeds only upon herbivores.
the sun
This provides energy to the producer.
sunflower
this producer makes energy from the sun.
deer
this is a herbivore that eats the sunflower
lion
this eats the deer, and
is also a primary consumer
this guy
this guy could of eaten the deer
grass
or this could grow
a pig
this could eat the grass
fungi
this will "eat" anything when they are dead
Algea
this could grow too
plankton
this could eat the algea
fish
this eats the plankton
shark
this eats the fish
