Diversity on Campus
A letter from your ASUWB Director of Student Advocacy:
Hello UW Bothell Students,
First of all, we would like to thank you for all of the hard work that you have put in to raising awareness about diversity on our campus. You have spoken, we hear you, and we understand the need for additional resources relating to diversity.
We are devoted to advocating for your voice, and we want to take ownership of not being as accessible as we need in order to accurately represent University of Washington Bothell students. We are passionate about being accessible to students, and we want to create, and sustain a culture of reciprocal communication.
Again, thank you for your tireless efforts, and we look forward to working with you on this important initiative.
Sincerely,
Brandon Johnson
ASUWB Director of Student Advocacy
Student Diversity Council
As per the passionate discussion with Chancellor Yeigh, Vice Chancellor Ana Karaman, Professor Janelle Silva, and Dr. Silva's class, ASUWB is going to work with the administration to establish a Student Diversity Council. We agree that students need an organized platform to sustain dialogue with the administration on diversity related issues.
If you would like to be a part of this council, please contact Brandon Johnson, ASUWB Director of Student Advocacy, at bjohnson@uwb.edu.
Open Student Testimonies
In order to better represent the STUDENT VOICE, ASUWB will now be incorporating time dedicated to open student testimonies at each of our weekly Tuesday meetings!
Join us in the Rose Room (UW1-280) between 9:00am and 10:00am any Tuesday of the quarter. No appointment or request necessary!
Voice your opinions, raise concerns, ask questions, or discuss anything else you would like to speak to your representatives about! See you there!
