Spell Check on Google Drive
To check the entire document, you can select Tools > Spelling, which will bring up spelling suggestions that you can either keep or ignore.
To check the spelling of an individual word, right click on the misspelled word (MACBOOK: hold down CONTROL and click on the word; CHROMEBOOK: hold down ALT and click on the word), and a menu will appear. At the top of the menu, it will say Did you mean: followed by spelling suggestions. Click on the correct suggestion to apply it to your document.
EdTechTeacher: Searching for Resources
EdTechTeacher is a site dedicated to helping teachers utilize technology to improve teaching and learning.
Here you can search for Frameworks & Models; view Tutorials, Helpful Links, and Webinars; and check out exemplars of Innovative Projects and Lessons. EdTechTeacher also lets you search Tech Tools and Resources, as well as find apps organized by learning activity and device. It is really a must-see!
April is National Poetry Month
In honor of National Poetry Month, the Academy of American Poets commissions and distributes more than 120,000 posters, which are displayed in classrooms, libraries and bookstores all around the country. This year’s poster was designed by Roz Chast (see snapshot below). If you're interested in receiving a poster for free, please complete this form.
