Upcoming Projects
Wiith the school year in full swing, I wanted to make sure you were aware of two projects we have for the month of September. The first project is our Reflections Entries. Each student in my class will turn in a Reflection entry for one of their English Language Arts grades. The paperwork came home last Friday in Friday Folders, but the entry forms and instructions are also on Parsons website. The Reflections project is due to class by Monday, September 19th.
The second project we have is a Civil War project. Your student received the paperwork for this project this week in class. They are to pick a topic listed and make a powerpoint, poster, rap or poem about their topic. This is going to be worked on in class, but mostly completed at home. A grading rubric has been sent home with the project paperwork so they know what is expected. This project will be due Friday, September 23rd. We will present these projects in class on September 23rd.
ReTakes on Summative Grades
Parents- Just a reminder that if your child would like to re-take a Summative Test grade that you will need to fill out the Re-Take form. I sent a Re-Take Form home in last week's Friday Folder so that everyone would know what it looks like. You can also download it off the Parsons Website and soon off of our class eclass page. Working on getting that form uploaded in the next week!
Summative Tests
Parents please be aware that our Summative Tests will not be coming home. We will grade them and keep them here at school. Once a test has been taken, you can look in the portal to see your students grade. If there are questions about a test, please feel free to email or call me and set up a time to come look over the test. This is to insure the integrity of our tests.
Summative Tests consists of Unit Tests, Chapter tests and Cold Reading Test
