ASB Social Coming Soon!
EDITED- My apologies for the error~
Our Spring ASB Social is scheduled for April 26th, from 2:40-4:40pm. Students will need to turn in a signed permission slip and $10 by Thursday, April 25th to attend. Permission slips will be handed out this Friday and sent home electronically in the next weekly announcement email. Students needing to take the primary bus can do so by checking the box on their permission form. Those students will be released to board buses at 3:35pm. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out this form. An electronic permission form is below if you would like to print from home.
State Testing Coming Soon
Students may be coming home talking about state testing prep, as our teachers continue to prepare classes for testing. Our schedule is as follows:
- May 14th, ELA CAT (Computer Adaptive Test), all grades
- May 16th and 17th, ELA PT (Performance Task), all grades
- May 21st, WCAS (Washington Comprehensive Assessment for Science) 5th and 8th Grades
- May 30th, Math PT, all grades
- June 6th and 7th, Math CAT (all grades)
On days we assess all grades, students will report to school at the regular 8:10 start time, and we will run a 2 hour late start schedule for testing.
These assessments give our school measurable student learning data, of which we use to drive instruction. We ask students to do their very best, and know that these test are one indicator of their performance, not a definition of who they are as humans. Thank you for your support, families.
6th Grade Field Trip
We are excited to bring back "Outdoor School (not overnight)" for our 6th graders. We will be taking a day trip to the Mt. St. Helen's Visitor Center on May 7th and May 9th. Students will be bussed from school and return before busses leave in the afternoon. We will be taking two groups- Mr. Heasley and Mr. Walsh's homerooms will travel on May 7th and Mrs. Meyer and Ms. Danielson's homerooms will head up May 9th. Permission slips and more details will be released on Tuesday.
