Two Wing Salute for our Stock Market Teams
Congratulations to several 4th and 5th grade stock market teams. Seven of our Evansdale Stock Market Teams placed in the top 10 out of 116 DeKalb County teams. Our teams were the only elementary teams that placed in the top ten. Each team consisted of 3-5 students that worked together to create and manage an investment portfolio of real world stocks. Each team had $100,000.00 and worked for a 10 week period, investing in companies of their choice. Teams were competing against other teams in DeKalb County at all grade levels. Student teams that placed in the top ten will be rewarded with a special event during the school day in the coming weeks. Team standings are as follows.

Father Daughter Dance
The 2017 Evansdale Elementary Father Daughter Dance will be held at Evansdale Elementary this year due to construction at Henderson Middle School. The dance is on Saturday, February 11th and a fun time is always had.
Invitations were sent home in the girls’ January 13th couriers. Ticket prices are $18 per family, no matter how many girls a dad brings. In addition, EvansDads have made arrangements with a local florist for fathers to present their girls with a rose and baby’s breath and to wear a boutonniere themselves, if they wish. Flower prices are the florist’s list prices for the Valentine’s week. Deadline for turning in ticket, flower/boutonniere requests and payment is February 3rd. Tickets will be sent home the week of February 6th and flowers will be handed out at the dance. The location of the dance is in the cafeteria at Evansdale Elementary School from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m.
Please let us know if you would like to volunteer. Many dads will be 'retiring' this year with the graduation of their daughters and we would like to keep the tradition going. Teachers and Administration are invited to join us as well!
