Materials to drop off include library books, textbooks, workbooks, athletic uniforms, and Chromebooks.
Please note that all fees need to be paid in order to receive your child’s report card. You have already been contacted by the office of any outstanding fees, if you need an up to date balance contact Diane Kirkley at dkirkley@hollis328.net. You may pay your fees online through TeacherEase.
Eighth Grade Graduation
The traditional, in-person graduation ceremony has been cancelled. In recognition of our eighth grade students, on May 19, a video ceremony and tribute will be sent to families and shared with our Hollis community. We have received notice from the Peoria Regional Office of Education and the Peoria County Sheriff’s Department that any type of a drive-thru ceremony does not align with the Governor’s order. If social distancing and gathering restrictions are lifted, we would like to host a social get-together for eighth graders and their families mid-July.
Fourth Quarter Report Card Grades
Fourth quarter grades will be Pass/Incomplete. A Pass will be the result of an overall average of 100% - 70%. An Incomplete will be given if the overall average is 69% - 0%. Final report card averages will include quarters 1-3 only.
Making up Incomplete Grades
Given the extended closure of schools through the end of the current year and restrictions on large gatherings, any incomplete grades from the fourth quarter will need to be made up during the 2020-2021 school year.
Outstanding Library Books
Books have been collected on April 24, May 1, and May 8. Library books can still be turned in at a time and day that is convenient for your schedule. Contact the office if you would like to drop off a library book at an alternate date and time.
Kindergarten Roundup
Kindergarten roundup has been cancelled. Screenings will not take place this year. The office will reach out to all interested kindergarten families to discuss the next steps for registration.
