A Message From Our Principal
Greetings:
It’s official! We have a winner for the EHT Idol! Congratulations to Gabe Depaor!! It has been awesome each week seeing the students advance. Thanks to the Multicultural Club and Mr. Bell for making it all happen. Also thanks to those who participated and those who voted! It was great to see it all come together!
Last Friday, our Theatre and Dance students had the opportunity to perform for an audience. We had dances and songs as well as monologues. It was a fabulous evening under the direction of Mrs. Nancy Portnoy.
Our band had a great time performing during the Memorial Day Parade on Monday. They were led by Mr. Wyckoff with guest appearances by Dr. Kadetsky and his son, Colin. We are grateful that the community supports us and invites us to their events.
On Wednesday June 2, we were able to acknowledge so many of our seniors at the Senior Awards Ceremony. Many thanks to parents for spending the evening with us. Shout outs to Ms.. Duffy and Ms. Elko for all their hard work in planning and organizing the ceremony. Big thanks to Dr. Schreiner for presenting the Seal of Biliteracy awards to over 60 Seniors.
On Thursday June 3, the much awaited EHTHS Prom was held at the Sheraton in Atlantic City.. It was beautiful. Everything we have always had. The students were presented as they entered on the red carpet and live streamed to their families. Students had a wonderful meal and danced away the night. The prom court was announced and it ended a perfect night. Shout out to our junior class and Ms. Cole for a wonderful evening!
Some upcoming dates to look for: June 8 is senior sports recognition which will be for all senior athletes after school on the turf. On June 9th, Varsity Scholar recognition will be live streaming for parents and students to watch. We have over 900 Varsity Scholars! These students maintained a 90 or better average for the school year. June 11 is the Choral Concert. And of course EHTHS graduation is set for June 16th.
Until next week, stay safe, be well, continue to dream of the possibilities ahead of us, be happy and smile at someone!
Ms. Connor

Gro More Good Grassroots Grant
Mrs. Delaney and Mr. House's classes have been working hard setting up raised garden beds in the outdoor classroom space. The beds will be able to be used every year during the fall and the spring. The beds will help to show students specific agricultural practices as related to the environmental science curriculum. The students will also be engaged in hands on learning and will see the product of their hard work. The funds for this project are from the Gro More Good Grassroots grant that Mrs. Delaney and Mr. House won for this year. https://kidsgardening.org/2021-gromoregood-grassroots.../ . The grant is funded by The Scotts Miracle- Gro Foundation and KidsGardening. The beds will be able to be used by various science disciplines as well as the preschool class held at the high school.
A special thank you to the ACUA for their generous donation of EcoSoil and Mulch.
