Eagle Hills Elementary Newsletter
Message from Mr. Leforgee
Dear Families,
Is spring here? I hope so. I love the snow but not the dreary clouds we have had lately. Please remember to spring your clocks forward on Saturday night. In this newsletter there is a lot of celebratory information so please check our staff, artists, and jumpers who are being honored.
Every year, parents and guardians must log into PowerSchool and verify (or update) demographic information and medical information. Doing so, allows families to see class placements when they are posted in July. More information is below.
Do you know an incoming kindergartener? Incoming kindergarteners need to turn 5 by September 1, 2024. Please encourage them to call the office or start the registration process by visiting - register here.
Our Lost and Found is growing. Please stop by the front of the school to look for items. We will be donating all items Thursday afternoon, March 14th.
Please remember to bring a valid ID when coming to volunteer and this includes helping with class parties. If you still need to complete the volunteer paperwork, please contact the office.
Please call the office or attendance line (208.350.4090) if your child will be absent. It allows us to update PowerSchool and keeps families from getting the reminder phone call.
Best,
Jason Leforgee

After School Pick Up Process
Eagle Hills has a unique parent drop off and pick up due to our 1978 footprint. Drop off in the morning is a little different than pick up due to the flow. Cars coming off Ranch or from Rockingham Dr. merge at the Ranch entrance and drop students off by the dumpsters.
After school we use a different flow pattern as many families show up early and wait, which has blocked our entrance in the past. Please see the map below for the afternoon pattern. We have three adults staffing parent pick up. Please listen to them as they direct you on how the system works. Parent pick up is usually cleared within 10 minutes of school letting out. Please encourage your child to go directly to parent pick up after school. We appreciate everyone working together for a safe and efficient pick up. Parents can help by putting a sign with their last name and student's grade in the passenger dashboard.
