Upcoming Weekly Schedule
Dear MTES Families,
Monday will begin our third week of our St Jude Math-A-Thon. Unfortunately the vendor that prints the Math Fun Books was not able to get to us books for 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade. The fun books can be found at mathathon.org under teacher resources. I am emailing each family that signed a permission slip, the link to print out the fun books at home. This year all the money we raise will be donated in the memory of Sarah Gabrielson, a former teacher at MTES who lost her battle with cancer this past December. When your children participate in the Math-A-Thon, they will be helping other children, and at the same time they will be practicing their math skills. April Is Mathematics Education Month. Below are the rest of the weeks that remain for our fundraiser:
Week of April 15:
Students should try to collect sponsors. They should not go door to door looking for sponsors! Students are encouraged to ask friends and family. Students may keep the
books and do not need to return them to school unless they would like to complete problems on the next level. Checks should be attached to the sponsor envelope and returned to school. Contributions may also be made online at www.mathathon.org Once on this site, just click the blue button that says "Find your school and sign up" to register your family for donations. To find our school- remember our school is in Brookside NJ- not Mendham Township.
Weeks of April 22nd and 29th:
Sponsor money is due! Fun Books should be completed. All checks should be made out to St. Jude Children's Hospital-NO CASH PLEASE! All checks should be returned in a sponsor envelope to the main office at school. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Mr. Kevin O'Keefe M.Ed. 2nd Grade Teacher
Math-A-Thon School Coordinator KOKeefe@Mendhamtwp.org
