On Site Biometric Screenings Begin April 1
Neenah Joint School District employees and spouses enrolled in United Healthcare Insurance for 2024 may now register for a free 2024 On-Site Biometric Screening. UHC’s affiliate (Let’s Get Checked) will be providing 10-minute appointments that include a measure for height, weight, blood pressure, and a full lipid finger-stick blood draw (fasting recommended) at our schools during the month of April.
There are many on-site dates to choose from throughout the month, although there are not scheduled dates at each building this year. Employees are encouraged to attempt to schedule a date at their home-base or designated building. Spouses and retirees are encouraged to register on designated days. If locations and dates for your designated location are full, you are welcome to register at any open location. Click here to view a full list of dates and locations that will be available. The location that is bolded is where the event will be held and the lists in red are who have priority on those dates.
To schedule your biometric screening, please follow these steps below:
Visit myuhc.com and sign in
Go to the Health and Wellness tab and select UHC Rewards
Scroll to Activities and select Available
From the Biometric screening card, select Get more info and then Get started
You’ll arrive at LGC’s site, where you can follow the prompts to finish your registration and choose how you want to complete your screening.
Finally, on-site biometric data collection is not your only option! We strongly encourage you to get into your own doctor to have this done (or use the District’s Health & Wellness Clinic.) Whatever you choose, you will log in to UHC as described above, but choose the option that suits you best!
Provide Your Feedback on Our Superintendent Candidates
We hope that each of you have had an opportunity to meet or hear from each of our three superintendent candidates this week. Please click here for short bios on each of the candidates.
If you did not get a chance to hear from them, please visit the District YouTube page to watch each of the community sessions that were held this week. The videos are archived under the "Past Live Streams" header. The final one will be held tonight in Pickard Auditorium at 6:15 p.m. with Tina Owen-Moore.
The Board of Education would love to hear from you. Please send your feedback prior to final interviews that will be conducted on April 8. You are welcome to email either Pat Neudecker from our search firm, HYA, or Board President Brian Epley. Your comments will be shared with the entire Board.
HYA Facilitator: patneudecker@hyasearch.com
Board President: brian.epley@neenah.k12.wi.us
Thank you for taking time to participate in the sessions. We truly appreciate your engagement in this process!
Skyward Upgrade Reminder
Skyward Upgrade Q&A Session on April 8

Personal Leave Updates
Please note that there is a limit of 15 people (who need a substitute) who may exercise personal leave on the same day. The District has reached the limit already on certain dates and is approaching this cap on others.
Days that are now closed for the use of personal time are: Friday, April 26; Friday, May 3; Friday, May 10 and Friday, May 17
Days that are close to the cap are: Friday, April 19 and Monday, May 13.
Fridays and Mondays are generally challenging days for finding substitute teachers. On all the dates above, it will be more difficult than normal to ensure that classrooms are staffed. Buildings may need to alter teachers' schedules or cancel certain classes in order to accommodate for labor shortages. Please be patient as the spring unfolds!
Remember that there are cash incentives available for not using personal leave!

AskMyClass Reminder Alternatives
In light of AskMyClass concluding its services and our move away from utilizing Alexa devices, we've recognized the need for alternative solutions to manage daily reminders. To address this, we've created a resource that outlines three practical methods for setting reminders. The resource includes instructions on using the freemium tool "ClassroomScreen," utilizing the clock widget on your MacBook, and setting up Google Calendar Alerts.
We believe these alternatives will seamlessly integrate into your classroom routines, offering new ways to stay organized. Should you require any assistance or further information, please do not hesitate to connect with your Tech Coach or ILTS. We're here to support you in making this transition as smooth as possible.
Click here to access the resource. If you are getting an “Access Denied” message, please click here to join the NJSD Tech Hub.

Health and Wellness Center Provides Influenza Update
From Prevea Nurse Practitioner Sarah Bleier, APNP, FNP-C
Flu season seems to be rearing its ugly head in our area, so this is a good time for a refresher. When we say influenza, we are referring to a viral illness causing respiratory flu. For most people, flu will manifest as fever, feverish symptoms (body aches, chills, and sweats), headache, cough, sore throat, and fatigue. While some adults may also have diarrhea and an upset stomach, these symptoms are much more common in children with influenza. Click here to read more
