You will find information on how to become a Certified Trainer here: How to become a Certified Trainer Trainings are held throughout the state. Redwood Falls has a training coming up on Feb. 10th. We are hopeful that there will be more opportunities to attend training closer to Washington County in the coming months.
Certified Trainer classes are offered in the disciplines of archery, rifle/pistol, shotgun, muzzleloading, and wildlife. Currently, our county could use extra help in the disciplines of archery, and shotgun. We also need a Certified Wildlife Coordinator. Our 4-H program will cover the cost of the class. If this is something you would consider, please contact Ann @ churc109@umn.edu

Club Corners
Country Cousins
Country Cousins learned about debate with candy at the January meeting. In February we learned about snakes and the pet project. We are also working out plans for fixing the 4-H float. The Cloverbuds have been having a lot of fun with Grace V. volunteering to lead some of their activities!

CLUB ACTIVITY:
During our February Meeting we focused on community outreach. We decided on a February “Spread the Love” food drive and tie blanket donation for the local animal shelter (Northwoods Humane Society).
SPECIAL GUEST: DEMONSTRATIONS
In January, Maddie Hoekstra came to give a demonstration speech and answer questions about demonstrations at the fair level. It was a great presentation on genetics and cancer. Maddie encouraged all to try and do a demonstration this year as it is a guaranteed state fair trip (if you qualify) and it is wonderful practice for speaking in front of small groups. Because of her demonstration, she encouraged a few members to give it a try this year!
