Bruce Willis
The magnificent Bruce Willis, renowned actor and musician, was born in Western Germany on March 19, 1955. Though born in Germany, he primarily grew up in Penns Grove, New Jersey. Once Bruce got bored of working at his local DuPont chemical factory as well as being a security guard at a nuclear power plant, he decided to pursuit acting as a career. While taking classes at Montclair State College, he played in a blues band dubbed the "Loose Goose," where he was featured as a harmonica player. When he was 19 years old, he dropped out of college and moved to New York City in hopes of finding work as an actor, appearing briefly in certain movies, playing small roles that were often left uncredited. Willis eventually flew out to Hollywood to try out for a role in "Desperately Seeking Susan," a part he did not make. However, it was in Hollywood that he read about the audition for a role in "Moonlighting," a part he did make in spite of 3,000 others auditioning for the part. He then won an Emmy that season for his performance in the show. He later landed the lead role in the wildly successful action-thriller "Die Hard," thrusting him into the film industry and, ultimately, setting him on the path of a successful actor.
