STAAR Field Test on Monday, March 3
On Monday, all Homestead 4th grade students will be taking a writing STAAR field test. Homestead was chosen to be a field test school by the state. This test does not count for the students and does not go on their record. TEA will be using this “mock” test to collect data. This will be a time for the students to practice their writing skills.
No iPads should be brought to school on Monday at all.
Any phones must be turned off.
Thanks PTA for the fantastic new library furniture!
Life of a Soldier Project
For the past 2 weeks in Social Studies, the students have been writing and working on a project from the perspective of a Texas soldier in the 1800's. They composed letters and journal entries and collaborated with others to put their information into a Google Presentation. Ask your child to see their work on their iPad---they did a fantastic job!
