Children are able to follow along as the story is told through highlighted narration. They can also learn new vocabulary by tapping on items in the pictures. Children can also personalise the story by recording their own narration.

Frozen: Storybook Deluxe
Developer – Disney
Age Range – 5 to 8 year olds
Price – £4.99 / $6.99
App Store Link - http://geni.us/cW6
Frozen: Storybook Deluxe is the app that tells the story of the movie and as you would expect from Disney, it is beautifully illustrated and presented. It attempts to tell the story from the point of view of both princesses and does this in a rather clever way. At various points during the story you hear what one sister has to say and then the app directs you to flip your device over so you get to hear the other sister’s take on the situation.
The Three Little Pigs
Developer – Nosy Crow
Age – 5 to 9 year olds
Price – £3.99 / $4.99
App Store Link - http://geni.us/2S4i
The Three Little Pigs by award winning developer Nosy Crow is an interactive version of the familiar fairy tale. The graphics are excellent and the narration, which uses children’s voices, is a joy to listen to. There is also a huge amount of interactivity available within the app but you never feel that it is getting in the way of the story. Rather it complements the story beautifully.
I hope you find something that interests you in this list.
