A message from Mrs. Carlson
Hello Forestburg School Community,
Next September, I will be taking on a different role with the Battle River School Division. I have accepted the position as the Division's Colony Principal, and unfortunately will no longer be a member of the Forestburg School staff. I have truly enjoyed my time here as your assistant principal. The staff, students and parents work together to make Forestburg School a great place to grow and learn. When I leave at the end of June, I will be taking with me a wealth of experience and fond memories.
Thank you for your support these past two years.
Mrs. Carlson

Spring Pictures
Lifetouch will be here Thursday, April 8th to take Spring Pictures! Proofs will be sent home with students once they arrive. Pictures can then be ordered ONLINE at Lifetouch Canada (see link to Lifetouch below). Please do not send any orders or money to the school.
Words, Words, Words!
Welcome Spring!
Every day is a lucky day!
The French 10/20 class created some French bulletin boards to brighten up the hallway in the Junior and Senior High end of the school!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Attention Grade 4, 7 and 10 Parents!
As part of their Assurance Framework, Alberta Education surveys teachers, students and their parents/guardians to gather information on the quality of education provided by school authorities and their schools.
The 2020/21 school year is the first year of the Alberta Education Assurance (AEA) survey, which replaces the former Accountability Pillar (AP) survey. To support transition to the Assurance Framework, this year’s survey will include questions that measure both the required Alberta Education Assurance Measures (AEAMs) as well as the previous Accountability Pillar survey measures.
The survey results are provided to each school and school authority to:
Develop their three-year education plans;
Report in their annual education results reports; and
Evaluate school and school authority performance on AEA survey measures.
Alberta Education mails survey packages directly to parents and guardians of grade 4, 7, and 10 students. Parents have the choice of completing their survey on paper or online. Included in the package is a single use Random Access Codes (RAC) for accessing the online survey as well as information on how to access a paper copy of the survey.
You can access the survey through a link we have created on our school website https://forestburg.brsd.ab.ca on the home page or under Quick Links / Alberta Education Survey.
