Please Check in the Office!
Although Austin Creek is a lovely open campus, we ask that you check into to the office and put on a visitor's badge when visiting the campus for any reason. I know there are many times a child has forgotten something they need, and parents just want to drop off the missing item at the classroom.
Please don't.
Instead, go to the office and check in first. For safety reasons, we always want to know who is on campus and where any guests are located. This policy is for everyone's protection. Thank you for checking into the office and wearing a visitor's badge whenever you visit our campus.
School Site Council
Dear Austin Creek Families,
We are looking at our current safety procedures, campus visitor policy, open campus and school safety, and our timeline for a school fence. If you would like to learn more about our school safety plan or if you would like to join us in revising and updating this plan, please contact me.
Once we revise our safety plan our focus will shift to looking at student data and a plus one student growth model. It is my goal to look for patterns and trends in our student data and to check that all students are making at least one year's academic growth per school year. Looking at student data is a great way to ensure this is happening and that it continues. If you would like to join us in looking at student data please contact me via email or 707-538-2122.
Best,
Jenny Lynch, Principal

Hawk's Basketball
We had our first girls basketball game on Thursday September 12, and although we lost, it was an amazing game! Our Hawks demonstrated effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the game. With 5 seconds to go, the Matanzas Dolphins scored one last basket and won the game 31 to 30.
We have many more exciting games lined up for the girls to play and you to see. So, please join us and cheer our girls on at their next game!

Parent-Teacher Conferences September 23rd to October 4th
Parent-Teacher Conferences are right around the corner! Starting Monday September 23rd, and continuing through Friday October 4th, Austin Creek will be dismissed every day at 1:52 to allow extra time for parents and teachers to meet and learn together about our wonderful students. At this meeting, please bring your questions and also share what you know about your child. The more teachers are able to understand the whole child the better they can address their physical, academic, and social-emotional needs.
*Please contact your child's teacher if you have not been sent a conference time or if you need to change your conference time.
The Austin Creek Fall 2019 Book Fair starts Monday, September 23rd!
We need Book Fair Volunteers
The Fall Book Fair is open from Monday, September 23 through Friday, September 27th and we need your help to make it a huge success. If you are available to fill any volunteer slots, please do so as soon as possible. We have several different ways for you to help like helping the students choose books and find prices, letting students in and out of the book fair, and working the cash registers. We thank you in advance for helping make this the best Fall Book Fair to date and have many great books to choose from. Looking forward to seeing you all!

Wish Lists & More...
- E-Wallet…a great and safe new way to pay.
- Please check for your Teacher's Wish List posted in the library on the “Wish List Board”. You can use this opportunity to enhance your child's classroom library!
- Gift certificates are available for purchase if you would like your child’s teacher to pick something out on their own.
You can make a cash, check, or credit card donation to our book fair and all donations go directly towards books for the library for your children to enjoy! In addition, Scholastic will match any donations and help supply books to children through two programs that help children in need from disasters.
