Important Message from the Tech Department
We have noticed an uptick in damaged chromebooks in recent months of students damaging chromebooks intentionally, both with and without cases. Students must keep cases on the chromebooks at all times and it cannot be taken off. If the student removes the protective case issued by Fenton and damages the device, this agreement will be considered violated and will result in a fee (see Estimated Repair Costs section below). If a case is removed and lost either from a loaner or the student's device they will be issued an invoice for $50. If a case is damaged, it will have to be replaced and a fee will be issued for the replacement of $50.
If damage is caused by violating the terms outlined in this agreement, the student will be charged the full cost of the replacement parts regardless of where they are on the repair tier. If there is damage done to the Chromebook that renders the Chromebook unusable, and while there hasn't been a first repair done on the Chromebook, the total cost of the Chromebook will be charged to the parent/guardian of the student.

Positivity Project - Perspective
WHAT DOES PERSPECTIVE MEAN?
You appreciate that people see things in
different ways. You have the ability to
understand the world from multiple points of
view.
WHY DOES THIS MATTER?
Perspective helps a person make sense of
the world. It provides clarity on what
matters and what doesn’t. Being able to
see things from multiple angles helps you
remain calm and learn from mistakes.
People who demonstrate perspective are
usually strong listeners that ask great
questions and are able to understand and
empathize with other people.
“The only thing you sometimes have control over is
perspective. You don’t have control over your
situation. But you have a choice about how you
view it.”
– Chris Pine

Break Food Distribution
Community Partner Food Distribution
For those on a tight budget, Spring Break can put a damper on a family's food budget when your
children are at home during the day. This is especially true for those families on the free or reduced
meal programs.
St. Jude’s Episcopal Church would like to offer you help with food for that week.
There will be a Food Distribution at St. Jude’s (106 E. Elizabeth St. at the corner of S. Leroy St. and
Elizabeth St.)
If transportation is an issue for you, please let us know and we can plan to have the groceries delivered.
Simply call the church office at 810-629-5681.
Many thanks to Dave Rayner, St. Jude's Outreach Coordinator, for his and St. Jude's continued partnership in helping our families.
Summer EBT Information
To receive the Summer EBT benefit, every family must have an approved student eligibility benefit (free or reduced) through their school. Households may need to complete and submit the School Meals and Summer EBT Application. Families will need to turn in this form ahead of count day to receive benefits over the summer. Count day is February 14, 2024.
LINK to Form: https://fenton.familyportal.cloud/
Eligibility Overview
Summer EBT benefits are available for eligible households based on their student eligibility status (free or reduced). This can be from direct certification, categorical eligibility, or from the School Meals and Summer EBT Application.
What is Summer EBT?
As part of our collaborative efforts to enhance USDA's summer nutrition programs, the Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Program for Children (Summer EBT) will officially launch in summer 2024. Summer EBT provides grocery-buying benefits to low-income families with school-aged children when schools are closed for the summer. More than 29 million children across America could benefit from Summer EBT.
Community Partners
AGS would like to thank following local businesses for their support of our staff and students. Carlson's Greenhouse and Gill-Roy's Hardware donated Holiday decorations to our school. Bill Carr Sign's recently installed 3M Safety Film and a customized perforation film on the front entrance of AGS. We appreciate all of our Community Partners.
