Haynes Happenings
News & Notes from Josiah Haynes Elementary School

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
I've written and reflected much this year on fresh starts and new opportunities. It makes sense, as this has been a year filled with more first days and resets than we're accustomed to. Over the course of the next week, we return to the tried and true rituals of closing out the school year. Students and teachers are reflecting on new learnings and memorable highlights from the year. Classes are sharing plans for the summer months. Fifth graders are reflecting on their time as Haynes students and looking ahead to middle school. Students are meeting next year's teachers. Staff members are preparing to support students' transitions to new teams, spaces and educators. After a year of abnormal, we are happily ending our year in the most normal of ways.
We recognize that this time of year is both one of celebration but also one that can provoke uneasiness. As always, please be in touch with your questions, concerns or to share any information that will allow us to best support your student.
Sincerely,
Jeff LaBroad
Principal
