CSHS Eco Club Partners with Tree-Plenish for a Greener Tomorrow
Cedar Springs High School students are collaborating with Tree-Plenish, a student-led nonprofit, to host a tree-planting event on May 11, 2024, aiming to plant 1,615 saplings. This initiative seeks to offset the school's annual energy consumption and promote community sustainability. The students calculated the number of saplings needed based on the school's energy use and are encouraging community members to participate by ordering saplings for planting or volunteering.
Available sapling types include American Sycamore, Colorado Spruce, and Sugar Maple, priced at $5 each. The project not only aims to reduce carbon emissions but also to strengthen community ties and awareness around sustainability efforts. Residents can also support the event through donations.

2023-2024 Electronic Device Policy for State Testing
Before our state test administration, district and building assessment coordinators must communicate a policy for using electronic devices by students and staff during testing.
During testing, the Michigan Department of Education does not allow students to have electronic devices with them (including wearable technology like FitBits, Apple watches, etc.). Please make sure you take the time to review our Electronic Device Policy for the 23-24 school year before testing.
If you have any questions or concerns about the policy, contact the main office in the building where your student attends.
